Motivational Monday: Working On The Go
Short answer: I don’t.
Long answer: I do what matters—and I give myself grace for the rest.
Summer life is a beautiful kind of chaos.
Is it hectic? Absolutely.
Am I tired? Not all the time, but sure.
Is it worth it? Every single bit.
Because I love what I do—as a mom and as a designer. And I wouldn’t trade this life for anything.
Just yesterday looked like:
✔️ Weathering a tropical storm
✔️ Finalizing millwork drawings
✔️ Beach time with my son
✔️ Lunch with the fam
✔️ Scheduling the week
✔️ Pool breaks
✔️ Issuing revised drawings
✔️ Starting RCP layouts
✔️ Dance team dinner
✔️ Finishing RCP details
Yes—it’s a “vacation.”
Yes—I’m at Dance Nationals.
And yes—my clients are still taken care of.
Design doesn’t pause when summer hits. But with strong systems, flexible workflows, and a whole lot of heart, I can stay present with my family and show up for my clients.
