Synergistic Sunday: The Power of the In-Between - Why the Unseen Parts of Our Process Matter Most
Every Sunday leading up to this one . . .
I’ve shared pieces of my journey toward achieving a more intentional work-life balance—something I’m committed to maintaining because, frankly, my well-being depends on it.
Anxiety has been a constant thread in my life for as long as I can remember. Years ago, I made the choice to reframe that narrative—to lean into the structure, precision, and detail that come with building a creative career. It’s not just therapeutic for me—it’s essential.
Leading us to a kind of synergy that’s just as vital for this industry. It’s the part of our work as designers that often goes unseen, much like anxiety—the technical layer that exists between the inspiration and the final reveal. Social media captures the glossy after, and occasionally a glimpse of the before—but rarely the in-between.
This in-between is where our technical drawings live.
Visually, they may appear complex or even overwhelming to some, but they are the backbone of every single project. They communicate, illustrate, and translate our vision into reality.
They’re often the most challenging aspect of what we do—and yet the least discussed.
So today, I’m pulling back the curtain and sharing a little peek into that part of my process.
I’m breaking the silence. Who’s with me?
